Here's the stuff
some of you may
want to read...
I'm 46 years old, happily
married
to Kathleen
and proud father of our daughter
Kayleigh.
We live in a village on the
outskirts
of London.
I've been writing in earnest
since
1997. Before
then I had many jobs, but had to stop full time
work in 1990 after major heart
surgery.
It was the tragedy of losing
my
daughter Kira,
which prompted me to take up
writing
poetry.
She was born August 5th 1997 and
passed away
on the 13th of August 1997. We
held her and loved
her for eight short days, but she
lives on forever in
our hearts.
At first I sought only to vent
my
emotions through
poetry, but when a friend
suggested
I try my hand
at creative writing, I was
hooked.
Since then I have
completed several short stories,
hundreds of poems,
three thriller novels and ten feature length screenplays.
I've discovered that I enjoy writing in the screenplay
format more than any other form of writing. I also enjoy
networking and pushing my work to producers and
directors. The film world is fascinating and I intend to
do my best to make it within that realm. It seems it runs
in the family since my father, Gordon, was a respected
film editor. If only I had followed his lead earlier in life.
My first novel 'Diary of a
Curtain
Twitcher' was
originally published by Electric
Bookworm, who
have unfortunately ceased
trading. Metropolis Ink
published it in 2000 but it is no longer in print. I believe
the novel is still available through second hand stores
on-line. The e-book version is still available through
Aninabooks.com
My second novel 'Abigail's
Lover'
is currently
available from Aninabooks.com in
e-book form.
My third novel 'Deadpix' has yet to be published.
My first two novels and a
collection of poetry
are all available from Aninabooks.com
in e-book form.
At the moment I am
working on two new feature length
screenplays and
have plenty of ideas for more.
What else can I tell you, without
getting into a
history lesson? How about the
future?
Writing has become my passion,
regardless
of
how far I can take it, I shall
write until rigor mortis
sets in. My aim is
to get as many of
my screenplays
produced and maybe one day direct and produce my
own features.
So watch this
space and we'll
see how I do.
Cheers Andy/Raven.
