Ice Skater
In
February 2006 I started the
Skate UK, Learn to Skate courses at Slough Ice Arena. Until then I'd
only been on the ice twice, both times during disco nights which were
really busy and kind of scary. I'm now (February 2008) working my way
through NISA level one, having taken and passed two of the six tests.
I love
everything about ice
skating, being on the ice makes me feel so alive, it's awesome!
My
coaches are Vikky Wright and Jason Blomfield
Vikky has a
website (though it really needs updating Vikky) which you can see here
and you can
see Jason in the 1990 World Championships with Anne Hall here
Vikky and
Jason are great! They
keep me on my toes and help me progress. It's hard work sometimes, but
I'm loving every second of it. One day I hope to represent my country
in international competitions, so watch this space.
Here
are a couple of pics of my early skating days.
And
this is the video of me
that my Dad put up on You Tube! Arrgh!
On July 7th
2008 I took part in the Guildford Ice Skating Open Competition and
won first place in the beginner ladies, 'Morris Shield' event 2c...
Needless to say I'm over the moon!
Here's one of the pictures taken of me doing my Beilmann Spiral.
This
picture was taken by the rink
photographer.

My Dad says he'll update
this site as often as he can, so watch this space for more pics and
news....
